Challenge:
Hayzor Concrete Countertops is a small workshop in Chandler Arizona that wanted to attract a new customer base in contractors and builders. Their identity and marketing materials were haphazard at best. They didn't have a huge budget, but they knew that to be able to present themselves to potential clients in a memorable way, they needed to polish their image and look like the professionals they were.
Solution:
Style and design were the most important elements in the design strategy. We first looked at what the decision-makers in construction, decorating and contracting were seeing from larger companies.
Concrete countertops are a high-end decorating solution that is very flexible, attractive and more affordable than granite. If a decorator specs concrete, we found that is is more often an aesthetic decision. Creating the countertops is a hands-on, custom experience. Every piece is unique, and can be customized in a variety of ways. It was decided to use a color scheme evocative of the finished product, as well as textures. A classical typeface was chosen to complement the updated, old-world style.
The finished product has served them well and allowed them to get noticed by potential new clients.

Challenge:
Primal Solutions is an up-and-coming provider of software to both analyze and manage communications transaction data. Primal has been on the forefront of providing this technology to a variety of companies across the country for some time, but they realized their web presence had been been ignored as the company grew. Their old site was jumbled and bloated with redundant content, making it difficult to navigate. They knew they needed to update the site, but wanted to keep their current logo and branding colors intact.
Solution:
Working with a writer, and brand manager, we reorganized the content and streamlined the site structure, making it easier to find the content needed.
Due to the weight of content on the homepage, much attention was given to how to logically place each section of information, while allowing for future scalability. Secondary pages received the same approach, allowing for as much or as little content as needed, in an organized, easy to read format.
The client's branding colors were included and updated to include several complimentary colors. It was important to avoid a cold, high-tech image, and humanize the company as much as possible. New imagery was chosen to put a friendly face on what would otherwise be a rather sterile environment.
In order to simplify the presentation of certain aspects of Primal's services, graphics and charts become navigation elements, informing and leading the user to find out more.
Primal continues to grow and expand its services into other areas of communications technology.
