YOUR BRAND’S IQ TEST RESULTS:

An icon of an emerging plant.

Emerging Phase

Your brand is gaining momentum
and starting to bud.

You have already done the hardest part.

You have put in real effort and it shows. You have a look, a message, and you show up with some consistency. That already puts you ahead of most. Give yourself credit for that.

The truth is…

Your brand is working, just not working as hard as you are. There is a gap between the brand you have and the business you are building. Your pieces are mostly connected but the message is not quite consistent enough to build the kind of trust that brings the right clients to you automatically.

The good news is…

You are not starting over. You are refining. And refinement at this stage pays off fast because the foundation is already there. The three tips below will help you close the gap, and the AI prompts and free word bank guide further down the page will help you sharpen your message and show up more consistently. You are closer to the next level than you realize.

3 Things You Can Do
Now to Elevate Your Brand

Find what is working and make everything else match.

What is the one thing in your business that feels most like the brand you are trying to build? Probably your website, but maybe it is your Instagram or a really solid proposal. Whatever it is, use it as the measuring stick. Now look at everything else through that lens. Your email signature, your bio, your client-facing documents. Anything that does not match the standard gets updated. Consistency is what turns a decent brand into a trustworthy one. Every little mismatch costs you a small amount of credibility, and those small amounts add up.

Read your homepage out loud and count the “we”s.

This sounds simple and it kind of is, but it is also a little humbling. Read your homepage, or your bio, or your about page, and count how many sentences start with “I” or “we” versus “you.” If you are the subject of most sentences, you have accidentally made yourself the hero of your own story. Your customer is supposed to be the hero. You are the guide. Flip even two or three sentences to lead with what they get, feel, or become, and watch the whole energy of the page shift.

Make yourself a one-page brand guide.

Nothing fancy required. One document with your logo, your hex codes, your fonts, your three brand feeling words, and your one-liner. Share it with anyone who ever touches your brand, your VA, your designer, your friend who helps you with captions. This one document will save you so many “wait, which blue is it again” conversations and keep everything pulling in the same direction.

My Favorite AI
Prompts for This Phase

Whether you are just getting started with AI or can’t live without it, here are some of my favorite prompts I use myself and with clients at this stage.

Just copy, paste into your favorite AI tool, fill in the brackets, and let it go to work.

1. Audit My Brand Consistency

“Here is my website tagline: [paste it]. Here is my Instagram bio: [paste it]. Here is my email signature: [paste it]. Here is my about page opening paragraph: [paste it]. Tell me whether these sound like they come from the same brand. Identify the weakest one and rewrite it so all four feel consistent. My brand personality words are [your three words].”

2. Find My Messaging Gaps

“Here is the copy from my website homepage: [paste it]. I want my brand to feel [your three words]. Tell me specifically where the copy does not reflect those words and rewrite those sections so they do. Keep my voice intact and do not make it sound generic.”

3. Make My Customer the Hero

“Here is my about page: [paste it]. Rewrite it so the focus shifts from my background and credentials to how my experience makes me the perfect guide for my customer. My ideal client is [describe them] and their biggest struggle is [describe it]. Keep it warm and conversational.”

4. Write My Brand One-Liner

“My business is [describe what you do]. My ideal client is [describe them]. My brand personality words are [your three words]. Write me five versions of a one-sentence brand statement that leads with what my customer wants, positions me as the guide, and ends with the transformation they experience. Keep each version under 20 words.”

5. Sharpen My Social Media Voice

“Here are five of my recent Instagram captions: [paste them]. Analyze whether they sound consistent with each other and with a brand that feels [your three words]. Then rewrite the two weakest ones so they feel more on brand and more focused on my audience rather than on me.”
